Transit Guarantees (CCG)

Every transit movement requires a financial guarantee equal to the duties and VAT that would otherwise be due. Most hauliers and SMEs would rather not lodge their own — the paperwork, the bond, the capital tied up. We hold a Comprehensive Customs Guarantee (CCG) authorised by HMRC and used to back our clients' movements.

We size the cover to the specific movement, allocate it from our authorised pool, and embed the reference in the NCTS declaration so HMRC accepts it on submission. For high-value or sensitive cargo we coordinate with our finance team in advance to make sure the cover is in place before the truck moves. Discharge of the guarantee is automatic on clean closure of the TAD — and we monitor that closure so the cover comes back into the pool quickly.
