The New Computerised Transit System (NCTS) is HMRC's electronic backbone for all transit movements under the CTC. Every T1, T2, T2L and T2LF must be lodged through it, and every movement carries a Movement Reference Number (MRN) printed on the Transit Accompanying Document (TAD) that travels with the driver.
We run a dedicated NCTS desk that operates around the clock. Phase 5 messages, anticipated arrival records (IE006), discrepancy reports (IE018), search procedures — we handle the full message set, not just the cheerful first submission. If a TAD doesn't discharge cleanly, we know to act before the guarantee is drawn down.
How It Works
